NYC Travel Diary: I Froze My (K)ASS Off

Happy Travel Tuesday! I have recently come back from my recent trip to New York City and in today's diary, I am going to share with you all the places I got to visit, eat at, and shop at. I am also going to give you an OOTD for each day that has exact or similar clothing pieces and they are going to be linked. Scroll down to read more and I hope you enjoy it!

Thursday, January 31st

I flew into the Newark Liberty International Airport on Thursday afternoon and when I arrived it was five degrees outside. Luckily, I had my jacket and outwear accessories at easy access to quickly put on before I headed outside. I enjoyed an Iced Caramel Latte at the Orlando Airport and was sure that would be my last iced drink while on the trip. I flew with JetBlue Airlines and loved my experience especially since I didn't have anyone sitting to the right of me.

OOTD:

Friday, February 1st

On the 1st day of the month, I got to head into the best city in the world. I spent my day visiting a college and a few museums in the area. I went to the Andy Warhol exhibit in the Whitney Museum and visited the MOMA during their free museum hours on Friday nights.

It wouldn't make sense for me to go to New York without getting a bagel or a slice of pizza. In the morning, I headed to Murray's Bagels Shop and ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese (it was so delicious). For lunch, I visited Joe's Pizza and the pizza was so good and many celebrities have also come across this pizza joint such as Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Kendall Jenner, Leanardo Di Caprio, Jimmy Fallon and so many more. For dinner, I ate at a southern restaurant located in Downtown Jersey City which also had a bar and festivities in the basement. The restaurant is known as South House and they had the best tasting french fries ever!

To get around New York City, I just used my google maps app and it took me everywhere no matter my mode of transportation.

On this trip, I didn't get to do much shopping besides the museum gift shops but I did get to visit a cute boutique that was also located in Downtown Jersey City. This boutique is known as Noellery and they sell stuff varying from jewelry, bags, home decor and more.

OOTD:

Saturday, February 2nd

I got to sleep in till 10 a.m. before heading out for a bite to eat. I grabbed breakfast from Rumba's Cafe and my plate included toast, fries, cheesy eggs, steak, and orange juice for just $5. It was so yummy and I love going there every time I am in the area.

Since I'm 18 now, I get to participate in the lottery and that includes purchasing scratch-off tickets. I spent $7 on tickets and I won $10 on one of them. So I got my money back and then a three dollar profit... we love a steal.

When I arrived at the airport, it looked so empty and vacant and it wasn't busy at all. I decided to get some Ben & Jerry's and try The Tonight Dough flavor on a waffle cone and I fell in love.

I boarded the plane at 9:00 and sat in row 6. JetBlue is one of my favorite airlines because of their Fly-Fi, free snacks, and friendly flight attendants. I discovered new snacks and beverages that will be apart of my everyday life.

I arrived in Orlando at 11:30 and as soon as I got home I went straight to bed.

OOTD:

Thank you for reading my first travel diary of 2019 and I plan on traveling somewhere every month so stay on the lookout for more in the future.
