2018 SkinCare Challenge

Happy Monday and Martin Luther King Junior Day! Today I am going to speak to you guys about my change-up in my skincare routine and the progress I hope to see in the next month or so. Some of these products I have already been using before and I feel will be useful still but some are new and I am using them based on only good reviews. Let's begin!

Micellar Face Mask Sheet

This is one of my personal favorite sheet masks because not only does it make my skin feel very fresh and clean but it fits my face. The problem I have with masks is that the cutouts for the nose, mouth, and eyes are really huge but not for these masks. They are a perfect size and they do not slip off my face and I use them once a week (usually Sundays).

Balancing Skin Concentrate by YourGoodSkin

This product is one that I have never used before but I am excited to try it out. It's basically a 28-day treatment that helps you get healthier and more beautiful skin and I hope it does the same for me. I plan to use this in the morning and at night.

Smoothing Facial Scrub by Simple

I have never used this facial scrub but I can't wait to use it because of all the amazing reviews I have heard about.  This scrub you only use 2-3 times a week which is fine because I do use a facial wash every day which is the next one below.

Hydrating Facial Cleanser by Lacura Facial Care

I am totally in love with this facial cleanser because it is so light and delicate on my skin and it really does make my face look so much better. I never knew anything about this cleanser before I bought it but it is actually very popular and even an Amazon Choice. I use this cleanser while I am in the shower or not it just depends on how my day plays out.

Oil Control Foam Wash by Cetaphil

This product has been on my skincare routine for as long as I can remember and it is a necessity for me. I have very oily skin and I always joke about how I can make french fries using my face because of all the oil. But this wash minimizes the amount of oil on my face and makes it manageable to deal with.

Micellar Cleansing Water by Simple

I have been using Micellar water for the longest time now and I have switched from different brands as well to find my favorite. But watching videos and reading information on Micellar water I have learned that there is a chemical ingredient that is very dangerous and can cause things like gene mutations and cancer. This ingredient is called polyaminopropyl biguanide and this ingredient is in the Garnier, L'oreal, and many more waters that I am going to stay away from now. But the Simple one is totally good for you and you still feel very fresh and clean with it.

Facial Redness Cleanser by TriDerma

You may not know but my skin can get very red in some places and my skin color isn't really balanced sometimes so this cleanser is super helpful to help with balance. Even though it says "medical strength" it doesn't smell like medicine it smells very good and is super smooth on my skin. It definitely helps even my skin tone and helps me be more confident in taking more pictures because of the even texture.

That's a wrap guys! I hope reading my reviews on skincare products help you get perspective on what certain products are used for. Feel free to comment down below on other skincare products that you use that can be helpful for me as well. Next month I will catch up with you guys on the YourGoodSkin Balancing Skin Concentrate and if it really worked on my skin. See you guys on Friday!!
