The Four Best Places To Buy Plus Size Shorts This Summer

Happy Friday! I hope you guys had an amazing week and I am so excited to be sharing this post with you all. I have been on a journey to find the best shorts that have the perfect fit and size. In this post, I have gathered my favorite brands to showcase their best shorts and styles they have to offer. You can shop for each pair of shorts with the links attached. Good American

I've been wanting to try shorts from Good American for a while now and I am so glad that I finally did. I will say that some of the shorts are button-up fly instead of a zipper fly and that doesn't work for me. I found one really good pair of shorts called the Ripped High Waisted Cutoff Shorts with a zip fly. I got a pair in black but those are currently sold out everywhere but they still have the white pair available on Nordstrom Rack. The problem with the button fly shorts is that they are not proportionate to my size and body. The waist was super big causing bundled cameltoe but then it was too tight on my thighs. I tried three different pairs with the button fly and none of them worked. I ordered a size 20 and 22 for reference and they were still huge. The shorts I ended up liking were a size 22 ( I usually size up in shorts and I am a size 16/18 in jeans). I suggest checking out Nordstrom Rack if you want a pair of these shorts but don't want to break the bank. I know these shorts retail for $150 and Good American is having a $99 sale for them but Nordstrom Rack has the same exact shorts for under $50.

Boohoo is also a new brand that I have just ordered from. They are similar to stores like Forever 21 or ASOS. They were having an extra 50% off sale when I ordered my shorts and I got each pair for under $20. My two favorite pairs were the Plus Distressed Ripped Hem Jean Shorts and Plus High Rise Fray Hem Jean Shorts. I got each pair in a size 20 and they were a great fit. I did have a little waist gap but that happens with a lot of my pants. The length on my leg wasn't too short or too long and it landed just above my birthmark. Express

As you all may know, I've been an Express Ambassador for a year and a half now and I am obsessed with their clothing. The clothes at Express vary from classy and causal and that is basically my entire wardrobe. I have the pleasure of getting free clothes every month so I've collected a few essentials in my closet. One of my favorites items from the brand is their shorts. They go up to a size 18 and XL. I hope they range in more plus sizes in the future but it's a good start. Forever 21

I use to shop for my shorts only at Forever 21 for the last couple of years but they don't fit the same anymore. The shorts shrink too fast and the sizes vary. A 3X at Forever 21 is truly a size 16/18 which is not what a size 3X stands for. I think that they need to be more true to size because it defeats the purpose of the plus-size line if 3X is the biggest size for most products. I decided to include Forever 21 in this post because they have my favorite biker shorts. They are lightweight and fit my body perfectly.
